This is my first major piece done completely digitally. It was kinda tricky but I like how it turned out (I hate making names but I thought Frank Lee was amusing so...)

EDIT: Fixed Dragonair and Kingdra because they weren't original enough. I think it was for the best (thanks Gladys)
Also added a pattern to the robe. Glad I did that.

BIO:

Frank Lee grew up is Sootopolis, right next to the water. He has been in love with it, and fascinated by the Pokémon that inhabit it, since before he could even say the word. Despite nearly drowning when he was very young Frank was unaffected and swims every day making him very fit.
He has a huge collection of hats, some of his favourites being his propeller hat and his Ludicolo sombrero.
Frank has a much better sense of humour than his parents and tries to avoid using his full name if he can.

HISTORY:

As a kid Frank idolised his cities gym leader, Wallace. As often as he could he would run down to the gym and watch Wallace battle. It was a sight to behold and one Frank never got bored with. He dreamed of the day he would get his own Pokémon and battle Wallace himself. Wallace noticed Frank’s eagerness and so he helped Frank catch his first Pokémon and would have practice battles with him, teaching him to bring out the strength and beauty of his Pokémon. Frank has never forgotten anything Wallace has said to him and will always remember the friendship they have.

BATTLING:

Frank has trained his Pokémon to be prepared for anything. He has taught them moves to cover their weaknesses and builds a team that has an advantage over almost any opponent. Although he often concentrates on type matches, he would never jump to the conclusion that he wins, yet stays positive that he can, even when it looks bad for him. Win or lose, he loves a battle. He is never sad at a loss because he knows the other person has won, and he always likes to see someone happy.

RECENT:

Frank had been traveling on Wallace around Hoenn before he got his own boat and travelled to Johto, Kanto then Sinnoh. Now he is traveling to Unova, making a stop at the Ohana Islands.

POKEMON:

Wallace: Frank’s Wailord is his oldest friend and his ‘Guardian angel’ if you will. On that fateful day that Frank slipped into the lake in the centre of Sootopolis, Wallace, as a young Wailmer, was there to lift him out of the depths. From then on, Wallace and Frank have been almost inseparable, but it wasn’t until Wallace (the gym leader) lent Frank a Pokémon and pokéball that he could finally call him his.
Wallace is always there to protect Frank if he thinks he is in danger. This ‘bodyguard’ attitude is the same when it comes to all his friends in Frank’s party. He is always willing to stand up or take a hit for any other Pokémon, in battle and on their travels.

Layla: Layla is a very shy Dragonair. When Frank met her she was not at all confident in her own abilities and couldn’t muster a very strong attack. Layla was known to freeze when she got overwhelmed. Frank was not going to let her go because of this though. He knew she had it in her; he just had to get it out somehow. With a lot of training and a positive, comforting attitude from Frank, Layla became a lot stronger and has discovered her inner power, yet still sticks close to Frank.

Kingy: Kingdra is a powerhouse. Its only weakness being dragon, Kingy can take down most opponents. He is not without his issues, however. Outside of battling, Kingdra has no interest in the rest of the team. You are more likely to see him training alone rather than chilling with the others. Kingy respects Frank as a competent trainer but their relationship doesn’t extend far from this. He acts far superior than the others which makes it hard for the others to get along with him, bar Maxie, but she’ll have a chat with anyone, oblivious to if they like her company or not.

Bobby: Tropius has become Frank’s main way of traveling home when he is in a hurry. Because of his height he is Frank’s lookout when they are traveling in Frank’s boat. Bobby has become a very graceful flyer despite his size and is very fast in the air. He loves to have fun but will never take things too far.
Bobby works well with Chuck in double battles. Being able to avoid Chuck’s attacks and also power them up with Sunny Day makes them a strong pair.

Maxie: Maxie, quite bluntly, is a ‘tard. She is too oblivious and easily distracted to be any good at battling yet is too flamboyant to stay down and will quickly bounce back after taking a hit. It takes an especially talented person to control Maxie and Frank has just about figured it out.
Maxie will make friends with anyone and anything. She will go up to anyone to say hello and have a nice chat/pat. Extraordinarily, Maxie can continue to talk for (what seems like) hours, non-stop! She will happily tell anyone an enormous story about who knows what. Frank isn’t quite sure if she knows he can’t understand her or if she just likes the sound of her own voice, but she is great for entertainment and the cheer him up in the worst of times.

Chuck: When Chuck met Frank he quickly took a liking to his hats. After stealing his top hat off Frank’s head Frank chose to battle it in hope of catching it. Because of Frank’s love of water Pokémon and lack of other types he thought he should get someone to at least cover the ones he was weak to first. Frank caught Chuck and let him keep the top hat.
Chuck and Wallace have built up a strong friendship as Franks double battle pair and both always stick close to Frank. He is probably the most aggravated by Kingy and is often water spouted by Wallace to calm down.
